Holiday Movies

It’s time again to dig out my favorite holiday movies on DVD. There are just too many to mention, but here are a few of my all-time faves:

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Sometimes kids get the holidays mixed up!

  The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

The one with Jeff Goldblum as Ichabod Crane.

 A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

Charlie Brown is too wimpy to say no to his friends when they invite themselves over for Thanksgiving dinner, so he serves toast and popcorn.

  Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation

Who wouldn’t want Cousin Eddy to show up in his festive dickie?

  A Christmas Story

And who wouldn’t want a “major prize” like the leg lamp?

  White Christmas

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye find love at a Vermont Inn.

   Holiday Inn

Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire find love again!

Oh, all the great ones. Everything from Dracula (starring Gary Oldman)–to It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol. They make the holidays special, and I can’t get enough of them.

  1. “Scrooges,” starring Bill Murray. A retelling of Dickens but way funnier and grimmer. Note: my twitter feed is the dullest place in the world. E-mail me and I’ll update you on everything.
