The King’s Speech

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen lately–or ever. It made me cry, it was so uplifting.

It’s the true story of England’s King George VI (“Bertie”) and his speech therapist, Lionel Logue. So refreshing to see a nation’s leader who isn’t a glib speaker, but who puts his country first and unselfishly does the right thing.

I immediately bought the accompanying book and CD soundtrack to keep enjoying.

Queen Elizabeth has formally approved of the film and the way it treats her father and family. So thumbs up!
