Obama in Phoenix

Obama visited Phoenix this week. It would have been nice if he had taken his presidential duties seriously and paid at least a token visit to our border to see how things stand there. But no–he was here merely to campaign.
And, unbelievably, when Gov. Jan Brewer greeted him on the tarmac, he took the occasion for a peevish attack on her book, Scorpions for Breakfast, causing her to wag a finger at him. (Her book is about our problems with illegal immigration in Arizona.) Gov. Bobby Jindal has written about a similar incident–an attack while greeting BO (also on a tarmac).
Jan had the last laugh, though. She posted on her Facebook page today:
“This morning I learned that a new record at Amazon was set.  My book, Scorpions for Breakfast (www.scorpionsforbreakfast.com), was up 3,432,120% in 24 hours. Apparently, no other book has ever increased like that before.”
Ha! Maybe Jan should ask to have a booksigning at the White House!
