I’m enjoying the Masterpiece Theater presentation of Downton Abbey. Set in late Edwardian England, it’s a perfect look into English country life at a great estate. It begins with the sinking of the Titanic and leads into World War I. The characterizations–both upstairs and downstairs–are wonderful. It reminds me of my favorite movies by Merchant-Ivory.
Highly recommended!
